Southern Ocean County Chamber reminds you to add the Long Beach Island Region to the list for a unique holiday experience and take part in Holidays Redefined Shopping Program
In 2010 American Express introduced Shop Small Saturday, an initiative that Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce immediately embraced and began marketing to promote Thanksgiving Weekend in the Long Beach Island Region as well as the holiday shopping season. Continuing to cultivating events and utilizing member activities to build a large stock unique in store incentives, In addition the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, regional SHOP SMALL Headquarters for the November American Express small business initiative, members have been creating unique in store promotions on Thanksgiving Weekend that had given this weekend a boost in purchases, overnight stays and event attendance. From open houses and ongoing shop local incentives throughout the holiday season, it all kicks off on Small Business Saturday, after Black Friday shopping frenzy has subsided. Encouraging promotion of Gift Cards for favorite restaurants, shops, lessons or services are a fantastic way to give back to local businesses who create employment, donate to local causes and provide much needed expertise. The Chamber kicks off the Shopping Season with local businesses at their November 14 membership meeting.

All of these delicious treats will be served on the beautiful Tea Party to Go collection of fine china from around the world.
